Integrated Services
Integrated access is combining more than one service onto
one physical link to the network carrier. A T-1 is a digital line that provides a
bandwidth (maximum speed) of 1.536 Mbps and / or (24) voice channels for long distance /
toll-free calls. Therefore, a T-1 can be used as strictly (24) voice connections to the
carrier or as a connection to a data or frame relay network or to the Internet. If a
company is using more than one of these services, CNS can combine (2) or more services
into (1) T-1 line. When more than one service is on a T-1, the T-1 becomes an
Integrated Access (T-1).

For instance, a company may need a 512K-frame relay connection to a
corporate frame relay network. A 512K connection utilizes (8) of the (24) channels.
The company may also require a 256K Internet connection. This 256K port utilizes (4)
of the 24 cannels of the T-1. The remaining (12) channels can be used for long distance
and /or toll-free services at a rate less than standard long distance charges.
Integrated Access T-1 services are a very high quality, cost effective
way to take advantage of various business services in the most cost efficient manner.
