Internet Access Services

CNS offers access to the Internet
via several types of T-1 connections to each of our carriers. UUNet which is
now part of Verizon, is the world's first commercial Internet
Provider and maintains the world's largest IP only backbone network.
Verizon's fully redundant, fully meshed, diverse multi-megabit, worldwide backbone
ensures maximum Internet speed and reliability. Verizon operates a multi-hub
environment in the ten largest metropolitan areas, they have dedicated facilities in more
than 70 cities and the equipment in each hub is supported by uninterruptible power and
backup hardware for maximum security and operational efficiency.
CNS also offers high quality
Internet Access via the Paetec and Qwest digital networks.

The T-1 Internet access options include Integrated Access T-1s, Price
Protected T-1s, Double/Diverse T-1s and Shadow T-1s. An integrated access T-1 allows
a customer to utilize 4, 6, 8, 12 or 16 channels of a T-1 for Internet access,
while remaining channels can be used for local, long distance, frame relay or private line
services. The benefit of integrated Access T-1 is multiple services can be used over one
local T-1, minimizing the access costs for various services

If you require a full T-1 dedicated for the Internet, you can utilize a
Price Protected T-1, which offers a full 1.536 Mbps connection to the Internet at a
guaranteed monthly rate, depending on your proximity to the local telephone company
central office. You may also choose a Burstable T-1, which also provides 1.536 Mbps
connection, but the monthly cost of this connection can vary each month depending on the
actual Internet Usage.

A Double / Diverse T-1 provides two T-1s, giving the user over 3Mbps of
bandwidth. A Shadow T-1 provides customers the security of a redundant connection in case
one T-1 link fails.

CNS also offers Burstable, Shadow
and Tiered DS-3 (28 T-1s) Internet Access Services providing customers with bandwidth
speeds up to 45Mbps. |
